What You Need To Know

Welcome to St. John's Vacation Bible School.  We are glad you are considering bringing your child to us.

SAFETY:

First, may we say that your child will be in a safe environment.  This program is lead by Karen and Jon Allen who are dedicated to the Children's Ministry at St. John.  Under their care, all of our volunteers are required to go through a Police Records Check, there are checks and balances in place so you can be at ease involving your child in this program.

AGE GROUPS:

Karen is well versed with teaching children as she is employed by the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board, but more than that, both her and Jon have true hearts to see children thrive in their confidence of knowing they are loved by God and others.  Vacation Bible School is group oriented and age appropriate.  Whether as young as four year olds or twelve year olds, all of the participants are placed in groups of same age to encourage a learning and playful environment.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Monday, August 19thth your child should arrive at St. John at 8:00 am. to get their stick-on name tag and assigned backpack to hold everything that they need to help them through their week.  A snack is made available half-way through the morning so please be sure to acknowledge any known allergies.  You can stay and help for the week or return by 11:30 am. to pick your child up.

Your child will have several items to share with you as the week progresses.  They will be excited to share with you their latest craft or learning.

Friday, August 23rd will be a very exciting day for the children.  A bbq picnic will be included on Friday that you are invited to attend.
